Welcome to Our Neighbourhood In Bloom!

With the closure of the City of Edmonton’s Front Yards In Bloom in 2025, a new grass roots program has taken shape, and Ridgewood Community League is excited to participate!

This year, in partnership with the Edmonton Horticultural Society, The Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues, and Ridgewood Community League, we are recognizing gardens in our neighbourhoods of Bisset, Minchau, and Weinlos!

Volunteers will be going around to our three neighbourhoods and dropping off postcards to front yards with gardens that help beautify our wonderful neighbourhoods!

Our Neighbourhood in Bloom is a collaborative effort led by the Edmonton Horticultural Society, with support from the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues, the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Native Plant Society.

Do you know an address that put that little extra something into beautifying their front yard? We’d love to know about it! Simply fill out the form below, you can add as many addresses as you’d like.

Who should I nominate?

Anybody who puts a little bit of extra effort into their front yard! Boulevards and food gardens are welcome along with ornamental gardens. A few things to keep in mind:

  • The front yard space should be primarily garden, not grass.
  • Interesting use of features or decoration is encouraged.
  • The area should be well maintained.

Only addresses within Bisset, Minchau, and Weinlos are eligible for recognition. Please check out the list of participating community leagues here for residents outside of Ridgewood.
