What you Might see or hear
Graunke Park & Natural Area is an excellent and rare remnant of urban tableland forest exhibiting a diverse subset of vegetation species.
Many urban-adapted species of birds and small mammals inhabit the site, use it for foraging, or as a stepping-stone to other refuge.
There are also many snag trees, fallen trees, and nurse logs within the stand that provide habitat and foraging opportunities for cavity-nesting species, pollinators, mosses and fungi while replenishing the soil.
